Customs Officials Reminds Right-Hand-Drive Car Owners to Pay Taxes by the End of 2022

Phnom Penh: The General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia has warned to take legal action against the owners of right-hand-drive vehicles who have not yet paid their taxes by the end of 2022.

The General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia has once again reminded the owners of right-hand-drive vehicles in Cambodia, who are already registered with the provincial and municipal customs units, to hurry to pay taxes by December 31, 2022.

The warning comes after the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia learned that the owners of right-hand-drive vehicles under various license plates have not yet come to fulfill their tax obligations.

The General Department of Customs stressed that if the owners still do not come to pay the tax as determined by the General Department of Customs and Excise, the authorities will confiscate the vehicle, and its parts will be removed as spares or destroyed according to the laws and regulations without any exception.
